The Social Impact on Web Design in Online Communities


Pada dasarnya Web Science sangat membantu masyarakat masa kini dalam berkomunikasi. Terlihat sangat banyaknya jejaring sosial yang dibuat untuk tetap menjaga hubungan antar masyarakat di seluruh dunia tanpa terbatas ruang dan waktu. Akan tetapi kebanyakan masyarakat salah menggunakan fungsi jejaring sosial tersebut menjadi sebuah trend dan dapat meningkatkan taraf sosial di lingkungannya. Seperti halnya facebook yang dibuat sebenarnya untuk mempermudah komunikasi yang dapat diakses kapan saja dengan mudah, dapat diakses oleh seluruh masyarakat dunia tanpa membatasi negara untuk menjalin pertemanan, namun saat-saat sekarang banyak masyarakat hilang karena menjalin hubungan pertemanan lewat media facebook yang mana kita dapat meng-upload foto agar teman/keluarga jauh dapat melihat aktivitas yang kita lakukan. Terlebih lagi yang sedang marak digunakan seperti twitter yang hanya dapat meng-update status tetapi lebih cepat dibandingkan facebook walaupun jumlah kata lebih terbatas dibandingkan facebook. Ada lagi MySpace yang lebih dapat mengupload sesuatu lebih banyak space nya. Blog yang ditujukan untuk meng-upload tulisan kita, nama mudahnya diary elektronik jadi bagi yang hobi menulis dapat disalurkan di blog dan dapat diakses orang lain lebih mudah. Tumblr lebih kepada media sebagai memperkenalkan diri/profil kebanyakan digunakan oleh artis. Itu semua digunakan untuk mempermudah komunikasi yang pada akhirnya manusia terlalu tergantung pada media tersebut sehingga mereka tidak menjalin komunikasi yang sehat dengan sekelilingnya.
